I returned from the Balkans a week ago and now back into the humdrum of work. After France I went to Switzerland, Bulgaria, Romania, Greece and Turkey so I am back at work resting. I have all my finances in place for the property I guess all I have to do is wait for Monsieur le Notaire publique at this point.On May the 15 I have to do something I am sure that you will advise. For now I have 2 questions. Do you know how old the property is and have you developed the photos of the land etc.? Great news, Do you think however that the date of completion could be moved to the Monday the 28th of June, that way I could come over in person arriving Saturday 26 - June 30th. Also would you have a contact for the local Bank, home insurance, electricity and water hook-ups in or around L'Absie. It would be great to have phone and fax numbers. This would allow me to prepare from here the various necessities to set up. Also you said you knew of a good 2nd hand furniture place in Secondigny. Similarly would you have a contact and phone and fax numbers. I hope this is not too much to ask for. It would certainly help at this end.

Good to hear you can come over for the signing. I'm sure it will be OK to complete the sale on Monday 28-6. I will confirm this early next week and send details of furniture dealers at the same time.

I have had to revise my plans to come over. Therefore its back to plan A and I shall wait for the power of attorney form. Yesterday I received your letter dated 22 of May 1999, post marked 25 of May so it takes about 6 days by post. Now I will send over the balance of 121,000F within the next 2/3 weeks electronically to Maitre SAUZIERE's account at SECONDIGNY.

I have come to the conclusion that I would like joint purchase (ownership) with my wife Iveta Rogers. Please advise on how this is done. Yes could you please set me up with insurance for 1210F, and please change over and hook up water and electricity for the fee of 150F. Please advise how I can pay this to you also what happens about the taxes?

My intentions are to come over in the autumn ie Sept. / Oct. when I have more time to set up the house, when I hope we can rendez vous for a lunch/ supper on me this time.
